Riccardo Noury draws attention to Daria Egereva’s imprisonment in a 19 October article on “Le persone e la dignità,” the human-rights blog hosted by Corriere della Sera.

The short Italian-language article introduces Daria as a Selkup Indigenous rights defender and climate advocate. It recalls her work protecting Indigenous lands, languages and cultures, and the threat of up to 20 years in prison following her arrest in December 2025.

Noury directs readers to Amnesty International Italia’s appeal for her immediate and unconditional release and an end to repression against Indigenous rights activists.
