GfbV Voices reports that more than 100 human rights and Indigenous organisations called for the immediate and unconditional release of Daria Egereva and Natalia Leongardt at the opening of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

The article also introduces The Crime of Being Indigenous, a report documenting 15 cases of reprisals from 2019 to 2026. The appeal stresses the right of Indigenous peoples to take part in international processes without fear of persecution.
